Douglas E. “Ed” Dormer is an Exclusive Agent of the Allstate Corporation. The agency was established in 1986 and has grown to serve not only the Atascocita / Humble / Kingwood / Woodlands area but also the general Houston area extending to other Texas cities. Ed attributes the success of the agency to his style of keeping insurance simple…..explaining coverage in easy to understand terms, providing excellent customer service, asking for referrals, and networking. Ed is active in various community organizations including the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Board of Directors, Board member of Lake Houston Reinvestment Zone 10 (TIRZ 10), Secretary/Treasurer of the Lake Houston Community Association, an active member of Friday Morning Networking since it's inception in 1999 and prior to Kingwood annexation by City of Houston, was Treasurer of Harris County MUD 262. He is former board member and treasurer of the Kingwood Musical Arts Society

Numerous company awards, recognition and worldwide travel opportunities have been given by Allstate for his consistent sales, growth, and profitability. Those include 2 time Territorial Agent of the Year, Allstate Financial Leader, Chairman's Conference, Good Hands Award, Honor Ring Award, National Conference, Quality Agent, Life Millionaire, Texas Star, and Profitable Agents Club. He has represented Texas at Agent Congress at Allstate home office and served on the Texas region Agent Advisory Board and Life Leader Board.

Ed has an Accounting Degree from the University of West Florida and has resided in Kingwood since 1983. He and his wife, Teresa, are members of First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood where he is a Deacon and former Shepherd Group Leader. Being empty nesters, travel is frequent to Dallas to visit their 2 sons and enjoy time with three grandchildren.
